WELCOME TO PECHANGA'S CLOSET

WELCOME TO MY BLOGGER PAGE FOR PECHANGA'S CLOSET

I WANTED TO SHARE BY FUN FLUFF FILLED FRIENDS I CALL CRAFTIES WITH EVERYONE SO THEY CAN ENJOY THEM AS MUCH AS I DO. THIS WILL BE A YEAR OF LEARNING AND EXPERIMENTING WITH ME AS I GET MY BUSINESS OFF THE GROUND.

A BRIEF SYNOPSIS:

WHEN I WAS 4 YEARS OLD, MY MOM TAUGHT ME TO SEW. I HAVE DABBLED WITH IT OVER THE YEARS, BUT NEVER FORGOT THE TECHNIQUES SHE TAUGHT ME. HER TEACHINGS ALONG WITH MY VIBRANT IMAGINATION ARE WHAT PECHANGA'S CLOSET CRAFTIES ARE ALL ABOUT. MY CRAFTY CREATIONS ARE UNIQUE IN EVERY WAY. EACH ONE THAT I MAKE GIVES ME A SMILE AND A GIGGLE OF ENJOYMENT AS I LOOK AT EACH ONE I FINISH...

"STITCHED WITH LOVE , THEN FILLED WITH FLUFF & FUN!!!"

ALL OF MY CREATIONS ARE ONE OF A KIND. YOU WILL NEVER FIND THEM ANYWHERE ELSE. I MAKE MY OWN PATTERNS AND MATCH MY OWN FABRIC TO MAKE THE MOST UNIQUE CREATIONS. IT'S WHAT I FEEL AT THE MOMENT.

SO ENJOY & WELCOME TO MY CRAZY CRAFTY WORLD.

PECHANGA'S CLOSET IF MY CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS BLENDED WITH MY JOY OF SEWING.

DAY 111 Elvis Bear

Finished the Elvis Bear...  Hunka Hunka burnin' love.  He's complete with black pompadour & sideburns.

I found this material at the last quilting show and knew I wanted to make this Elvis Bear.  I accented his black leather vest with turquoise swarovski crystals since Elvis was always sparkly on stage.

DAY 109 Back to Work

Back to sewing after almost a week off.  My next project was an apron for a friend... and it really made me put it off.  I so love making my crafty animals,, I procrastinated when it came to making the apron.

I finally finished it today and I will never make an apron again.... Last and Final Apron, done.

I also put together and ready to stuff, 4 pups, 2 bears & one hummingbird.  This will be my projects during the week.  One of the bears is Elvis bear, the other a Halloween Witch.

Also finished to go with the Apron,  a new eye patch for my friend.  This time I made it right side up instead of upside down.

I'll be back to my normalcy by this weekend.

Day 105 Owlies Revisted

This 105th day of my Blog, I am going to re-visit the Owlies.  One of my favorite and first Crafties I ever made.  My love for them is due to the fact I can use my vivid imagination on the colors.  NO matter what color or pattern I put together they always look so cute.

A few weeks ago, I purchased the large Bird Cage at the flea market, now, I have finally decided it's going to house a life size Owlie. A special creation of my own.  I'm hoping I can work on it on Labor Day Weekend.  We measured, it can stand at least 18" high and 9" wide.

My mind is swirling with ideas.......

DAY 104 LMU Lions

I'm officially back... it's been a busy weekend and week.

Finally finished the LMU special order Lions.  In fact, their owner is picking them up any moment. They turned out a little larger than I first thought I would make them actually almost the size of a loaf of bread.

They are made from an old suede vest I found and sparkly ultra suede for the muzzle and limbs.  Then I finished them off with beautiful red fur.

When I put them next to each other they remind me of Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Dr.Seuss (kind of, lol)

The girls who are going to LMU , one is a Dancer the other a Surfer.... so to try and incorporate their true loves onto the Lions I sewed a little plaque onto the back of each one with a phrase inside.

Sooooo here they are the LMU Lions!!!

DAY 100

Today is officially my 100th day of my Blog.  Which means 100 days from the the official beginning of Pechanga's Closet.

Wow what a swirl this has been since day one.  I have everything in place..  Business Name, Business cards, Business Banner, Website, Blog, my Facebook Page, Etsy Store, submission to Stuffed Magazine & Tonight @ 10pm my first ad will run for three days on Facebook.  It will cost me $.01 everytime someone clicks on my website.  Who knows...It's a test for what is to come.

To be honest,,, I have a list over 20 special orders I am trying to get to.  Never thought I would be this busy.

I love that everyone is enjoying my Crafties.  I love that they make people smile.

Besides the Elvis Bears & Domi-Bots, Mr. Smiley Face is something "I" want to make.

DAY 97

Have a special order for two LMU Lions.  Looked all over last night for Red Fur for the Mane of the Lion with no luck,,, when I thought of M&L Fabrics in Anaheim.  I went there on my lunch hour,,, and would have made it back to work in time if I hadn't been pulled over after getting off the freeway by CHP.  Seems he wanted to site me for my tinted windows... but after talking to him and showing him my Special medical letter..and a cutsie smile, Off he sent me with no citation.

On another note, finished the special eye patch for my friend who needs to wear them right now for a medical condition.

Projects:::  Teto & LMU Lions, need to finish by monday.

Day 96 Little Boy Teto

A friend of mine, Hector, helped me with my Pechanga's Closet LOGO and created my door for my website.  His dream is to create a cartoon about his character "Teto" who is actually Hector as a little boy.

His Cartoon finally got backing $$ by a Producer and is in the works.
Months ago, Hector and I discussed Pechanga's Closet making Teto come to life.

Recently, Hector called me and said Teto was going to really happen, they got a producer for their Spanish cartoons, and it is coming up very soon.  So I focused on getting his Teto made.

This is a big challenge... I've never made a person/doll before. But going by his sketches, it made it much easier

DAY 95

Busy Weekend.....  Two boutiques in one day.  Saturday started at 7 am @ Trinity Church Boutique until 2:00 then headed over to Diana's Backyard Boutique in Whittier from 2:00 to 9:00 pm.  I made it to 8:00 before I needed to pack up and head home from superior tiredness.

Had fun and made some good friends... even bought a bird cage for $25.00....  Don't have a bird, but maybe Pechanga's Closet will make one for it.

Today tried to finish off some special orders.  Flip Flops & started on TiTo for my friends cartoon. Also sketched out the pattern for Domi-Bots, I am so excited to get started on them....
